How to Teach Self-Hypnosis for Birth
27th May 2027 10am - 12pm - online
Most hypnobirthing teaching does not show you how to teach someone else self-hypnosis with confidence. People are usually given a generic track to listen to and a script for their partner to read, and none of that is autonomous.
When you teach someone self-hypnosis they use their own imagery, tailor it to their own situation and adapt it on the spot.
Hypnosis goes further when the brain is not filtering out the parts of a generic track that do not fit a person's own beliefs and values, and it means they can reach a more resourceful state in the moments they need it: in early labour, during contractions, in second and third stage, and into the postpartum period.
There is a clear process, and it is simple to do. You will learn the basics of what hypnosis is and what happens in the brain, when hypnosis should and should not be used, the contraindications and when to refer, and how to manage the common things people experience while they are learning.
You practise it in the workshop, so you leave able to use it yourself and to teach it one to one or in a group.
